| We use only the finest solid-brass blades and
stainless steel hardware. We hand-dip all our blades in lacquer to keep them
from tarnishing after use. This is labor-intensive, but we're sure you will
appreciate it when you go to use the lure again and the brass blade is still
as bright as the day you bought it! We also use the very best black nickel
ball-bearing swivels available anywhere. And we use the best black nickel
Ultra-Point hooks we have found. And finally, we literally hand-select our
marabou quills. There is a big difference in marabou, and much of of what is
available will just not meet our standards - we're interested in tools that
catch fish - not just chunking lures to see what happens. Our crankbaits are like no other and patent pending. Never hesitate throwing these in wood or weed for fear of hanging them up on such cover. That's where some really out-sized fish hold most of their life and that's where you need to go to get them. The HotBack deep-diver can be worked in a blowdown tree along shore, or cranked or trolled down to 12'-16'. Blowdowns in 3' hold some monsters in the winter if the sun's beating down and their deepwater lair is within a couple boat lengths. The Termite lipless crankbait is excellent for rolling over or thru blowdowns, brushpiles, stump fields, submerged timber. Obviously, running cleanly around weeds is another of its great features. |
