Meat and Potatoes Tackle Company

The Dinner Belle MAGNUM™

UPDATE: We've been fishing for over 50 years. About 150 tournaments behind us. Too many consumer and trade shows to mention. And the thing we are asked most about is "what color". So what we've done is produce "color catagories". Clear, stained, muddy, algae bloom, green, black. It's not on our website yet, but until then, if you have a question about "What color", please give us a call toll free to discuss what kind of water (catagories) you would like a little help with: 866-863-6328. We're here to help you catch the most and biggest fish possible. Consistently. Thanks.

A big-blade, big-fish lure that pulls easy as pie.  How?  The #7 blade cuts water and the big #10 “drafts” behind it. Kind of like a lead goose cutting the effort down for the goose behind it. At the BassMaster's Classic Expo, the Mexico and Texas guides were all over it! Guys from Lake Fork, Amistead, Falcon, Rayburn and Bend usually bought up to a dozen. They saw it in our booth demo tank and knew instantly waht it was going to do for them.  Comes with our Meat and Potatoes Tackle proprietary weedless treble hook stinger! If you're a spinnerbait guy, or even if you're NOT, this is a jewel you'll fall in love with. Heavy enough so you're always in control, but light enough and so easy-pulling that you'll throw it all day. This is new for 2009, but we've already heard reports about some monsters. Don't live near Texas, So. Cal, FL or MEX? Not to worry. This bait takes any self-respecting fish from a 4lb Spot to a 40lb Musky. Striper, Calico Bass off San Diego. Whatever. But here's the deal: Don't expect to throw this on lightweight stuff. 20lb test line minimum. Med-heavy action rods minimum. This bait is for serious fishermen. It's for serious fish. But when you get on them, load the boat! PS. We talk to a lot of guys that throw only light stuff on light equipment. They're concerned about the size and weights of some of our lures. We tell them this: Get yourself one rig that is your "big-fish" rig. Does NOT have to be an expensive rig. Do it as a favor to yourself. A gift to yourself. And start catching bigger fish. Buy just one of our heavier-weight lures to go with it. Like this one or our "regular" 1oz Dinner Belle. Here's what's going to happen: You're going to catch several big fish pretty quickly.....and then you're going to buy another big-fish rig or two! Or three! Catching big fish is addictive and a lot of fun.

Specifications:

  • 1 5/8oz with #7 & #10 blades; hand-lacquered and hand-painted (almost too pretty to throw!)
  • Marabou body, custom dyes, with our famous twin trailer feathers makes for superior action.
  • Wide-gap 6/0 black nickel hook.
  • Proprietary weedless treble hook as a stinger..
  • Black nickel ball-bearing swivel – no shiny/gaudy hardware that just invites “follows”.

Tips:

  1. Pull the Magnum thru mid-depths, or slow-roll it in deep weeds.
  2. Shallow or deep, “dial into” the depth of the weed tops, and then just “tick the tops”.
  3. If fish are looking up, wake the lure just under the surface or slap the blades on top.
  4. As with any lure, bump the Magnum into and over any wood cover you find.
Slow down!  Let the marabou and twin trailer feathers do their magic.
