The Dinner Belle 1/2 oz Tandem Spinnerbait
This little jewel is as small as we go. We recognize that there are times, all too often, when fish just don't want to bite big. So here you have a spinnerbait with all the right stuff, but in a diminutive size. Smaller blades, smaller frame, smaller ball-bearing swivel. But with our trademark custom dye marabou, twin trailer feathers, and blades we hand dip in lacquer and then hand paint and then hand seal - - they end up almost too pretty to throw. But it's the little things that take fish consistently. And don't let this little thing give you the impression that we're just after small keepers with it. Big fish eat this too.
The blade configurations shown below are examples. Willow/willow, Colorado/Willow, and Colorado/Colorado. You can call us if the blade configuration is really important to you. Tell us what you need. In our mind, the blade configuration is the last thing we worry about.....getting on fish that want to chase a blade is Job #1, and after that we just offer them something good to eat (marabou) and neither we nor the fish sweat the blades. Our usual preference is a brass lower and a nickel upper. For grins, sometimes we reverse those. For colors that lend themselves to muddier water color conditions, we usually double up on the brass. Again, we don't worry that detail too awful much. But call us if you do - we're all ears. But we do NOT go over a #3 lower and a #4 1/2 upper on this little thing....so don't ask. We know the balance of our lure, so don't ask for big blades on such a little thing. If you like big blades, go check out our 1oz Dinner Belles (the only size Dinner Belles we have in our boats 90%+ of the time).
Tips:
- Shallow or deep, “dial into” the depth of the weed tops, and then just “tick the tops”.
- As with any lure, bump the Magnum into and over any wood cover you find.
Slow down! We mean really slow down with this little 1/2 oz. Let the marabou and twin trailer feathers do their magic.
