| The Sloppy Joseph: Hand-dyed and hand-tied. This is the single blade spinnerbait we throw if we're in weeds or after a cold front and money is on the line, or if we just want to catch fish for fun. The single 4 1/2 Colorado allows this little jewel to thread thru weeds without hanging on so many weeds. The smaller wire frame (1 oz but 1/3 the size of our regular size Dinner Belle of the same weight) also allows this bait to come thru cover easily. But what is remarkable is this smaller size lure allows you to successfully catch fish AFTER a cold front. Short blade arm and sharp rake arm off the lead body makes this an all-season blade bait. Spring, summer, fall and winter. Fish it S-L-O-W. Let the marabou and the little 4.5 blade to all the work. The marabou body gives the perception of more meat than simple plastic skirts. Can you catch fish on simple plastic skirts? Sure, we've caught thousands. But the average size of your fish will go way up with marabou because of the perception of more meat in the same size lure as all the other commercial crap spinnerbaits out there. Note: Blades are dipped in lacquer and then "splashed" with metallic paint to take the all-nickel or all-brass look off them. Stealth is important in fishing and hunting. Shiny/gaudy tackle hurts your success. Blades pictured are examples only. See Blade selections below. | |||
